# **Tab-genixim** ## Overview Tab-genixim is a broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic. ## Primary Indications * Skin and skin structure infections * Respiratory tract infections * Urinary tract infections * Septicemia ## Adult Dosing * **General Dosing Range:** 250 mg to 1 g every 8 to 12 hours. * **Maximum Dose:** 4 g daily. * Specific dosing depends on the severity of infection and the causative pathogen. ## Pediatric Dosing * **General Dosing Range:** 20 mg/kg/day to 40 mg/kg/day divided every 8 to 12 hours. * **Maximum Dose:** 1 g daily (for children weighing >40 kg, doses should not exceed the adult maximum). * Specific dosing depends on the severity of infection and the causative pathogen. ## Dose Adjustments * **Renal Impairment:** Dose reduction is necessary based on calculated creatinine clearance.
